Workshop Faculty

Liza Kessler is Senior Policy Counsel with Leslie Harris & Associates in Washington, D.C. She works on Internet policy issues related to the First Amendment, privacy, civil rights, education and emerging technology issues. Ms. Kessler represented the Consortium on School Networking (CoSN) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) while the Children's Internet Protection Act was being considered by Congress and during the FCC rule making process to implement it. She also helped staff the Congressional Commission on Children's Online Protection (the "COPA Commission") which submitted its report and recommendations to Congress last fall. Ms. Kessler was previously an attorney with a Madison law firm and is a native of Milwaukee.
